AMAZING NEWS UPDATE: SUDDENLY MONEY AVAILABLE FOR REHABILITATION OF ROADS

Isn't it amazing how after weeks of complaining and two video exposé s later, the Greater Tzaneen Municipality suddenly has money available to send in TLBs and road maintenance teams armed with the correct equipment to rehabilitate the roads we complained about?

"There is no money for the roads in the industrial area and processes need to be followed" and "we will have to place the roads on the budget to be approved in July" is what the councillor and the municipality told us.

Plantasie Street, Kudu Street, Claude Wheatley Street and even the road leading up to Tzangeni Estates have been correctly cut and plugged over the weekend.

Amazing how there was even enough money to pay for overtime on Saturdays and Sundays!

Whilst we are pleased with the work that is finally being done it must make you as a taxpayer realize that most of what the politicians tell you is eloquently constructed word salad.

There is money available, it is just not being spent properly.

Guess we're going to have to cut on that Forever Resorts budget this year?

FIREWORKS AT JETTY 3 ON THE CARDS

Bulletin has moments ago learnt that a request for permission to shoot fireworks at Jetty 3 over New Year has been submitted.

Residents of Ward 14 in Aqua Park have sent a letter to the municipal manager Donald Mhangwana this morning vehemently opposing this suggestion.

Residents sited the safety of their animals, the number of thatched roof houses and lapas in the vicinity as well a number of other concerns in their bid to prevent the municipality from approving the request.

What do you think?
