NKAMBAKO SHOPRITE USAVE OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE CUSTOMERS
Brought to you by Molivestos Molivestos Press Express

Delighted residents of Nkambako in ward 5 of Greater Tzaneen Municipality were on Thursday 06 July 2023 flocked to Usave when doors were opened for customers for the first time.
Neighbouring villages such as Mogwazene, Musiphane, Shongani, Nwamitwa, Rwanda, etc were also part of the opening.

Ward Councillor Mfichana Shingange presided over the opening ceremony of this Shoprite Usave supermarket in Nkambako Village. The Councillor highlighted that the local residents would no longer have to travel long distances to purchase groceries and that the new store's establishment would greatly improve the lives of the Nkambako community and the neighboring villages.

Molivestos Press Digital has learned that this is the second structure started by the hands of Robert Risiva from Khujwana. He said the first Usave structure he did was that at Magheva.

Shoprite Usave in Xihoko Village which is situated around 19km away from this supermarket lost the Store Manager, who was killed in a robbery at that store on Wednesday night.
The first citizen of Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Mayor Gerson Molapisane has extended condolences and called on the community to help bring perpetrators to book.

MOTSHEKETLA PRINCIPAL CHASED AWAY FROM SCHOOL BY PARENTS YESTERDAY 30 MAY 2023

SECOND EVICTION BY PARENTS

GA-SEKGOPO: It wa not business as usual for teachers and children at Motseketla Primary School yesterday, morning. The Principal of Motseketla Primary school was evicted from the school yard & chased away through the school street by the community of Ga-Sekgopo yesterday, 30 May 2023. The main reason is the return of the principal in the school when she was last evicted by parents.

Molivestos Press Digital has seen video clips of the community chasing away the Principal on School Street.
We don’t know what triggered this incident. Whether is politically driven or is sabotage by some teachers or maybe just circumstance is something which will be revealed after the investigations.

The community does not want to see the principal and the SGB because they have lost confidence in them. Now their strong demand is to make sure that school governing body (SGB) of Motseketla primary school tender the immediate resignation.

Teaching and learning were disrupted for a while when frustrated parents were removing the principal. The Circuit Manager addressed the parents to calm the situation. Before they dispersed a demand to have security officer/s at this school was added on their grievances.

The circuit manager promised in the meeting that the acting Principal will be appointed while investigations are continuing. Teachers and learners were seen going back to classes & learning and teaching continue as nothing has happened.

The Limpopo department of education spokesperson Mike Maringa confirmed that the department is aware that parents alleges the principal of witchcraft and SGB of mismanagement of school affairs

VANDALISM OF ELECTRICITY INFRUSTRUCTURE IN TZANEEN
Brought to you by Molivestos Press Express
IMPACTS ON ELECTRICTY SUPPLY

Greater Tzaneen Municipality officials told Molivestos Press Digital that in the past seven days, ten electrical mini-substations have been vandalized in Tzaneen. This has left 500 households without power for a minimum of 24 hours.
This is a serious concern for the municipality and a great inconvenience to their customers
and residents at large. This vandalism and theft impact businesses and leave residents/customers without power for extended hours.

This situation is exacerbated by load-shedding, which is mandatory. Electricity mini-subs and streetlights have been a target for vandalism in recent months. Transformers are cut out and stolen from the mini-subs during load shedding.
It takes a minimum of 24 hours to replace or repair a mini-sub after it has been vandalized,
and when the problem is fixed, load shedding is still implemented in the affected areas. In the
past seven days, mini substations in Aqualaan, Tony Lawns, Pusela, Corner Maritz, Protea,
Pieter Joubert, Joppir Botha, Vanden Steen, and Hospital streets were vandalized.

GTM invites residents and the general public to assist in combating this vandalism and theft
of electricity infrastructure. You can report vandalism or suspicious activities to 24-hourďżľcall center at 082 679 0720 or the Tzaneen Police Station at 015 306 2000.
