It’s been an exciting journey working with JD Botanics, as we’ve evolved from a subtle aesthetic in 2023 to the bold, striking look we’re embracing in 2025. Being part of this transformation has been such a rewarding experience, and I’m incredibly grateful to my American client for the opportunity to bring this vision to life. Going through my cupboards recently, I stumbled across some old magazines with my face all over them—what a blast from the past! Back in 2015, I was a TV presenter for VIA’s decor show 'Stylstryd,' and I was three months pregnant with my daughter at the time. It was more physically challenging than you’d think, but the experience was unforgettable. The best part? Having catering, hair, makeup, and outfits all taken care of by professionals —it truly made me feel like a Kardashian!

We hope your tan isn’t fading too quickly after what we can only assume was a fantastic South African summer! There’s nothing quite like the sunshine and long days to recharge and inspire us for the year ahead.

As for me, I’m already dreaming about March, when I’ll be heading back to New York to experience the end of winter in the Big Apple. From South African sun to NYC snow, it’s all about finding inspiration in every season.

We’ve made it to the last day of 2024, everyone!

What a year it’s been. Honestly, most people I’ve spoken to agree—this year felt like it came with a few extra months thrown in for good measure. From the surprises we didn’t see coming to the moments we all thought, “Surely it’s December by now?”… well, here we are.

But despite the challenges, we’ve made it through. We’ve learned, we’ve grown, and we’ve kept moving forward. Here’s to closing the book on this marathon of a year and stepping into 2025 with fresh energy and big ideas.
