This weekend I recorded the Sanlam marathon in Cape Town for live broadcast using the Sony PXW-X180 XDCAM Handheld Camcorder with its 25x Sony G zoom lens and 26mm wide angle. It’s a really light weight and easy-to-handle camera which is a must when operating from the back of a motorbike. With the added support of the Easyrig Minimax stabiliser which redistributed the weight of the camera through the body harness, we got some pretty terrific coverage of the event.
Hope to work on this event again in future. Thanks to the bike driver for handling the bike safely and so well.

An underwater video compilation from our Bali 2018 trip that also shows the Bask Nest underwater sculpture by Jason Decaires Taylor - a circle of 48 life-size figures placed near Gili island to encourage environmental awareness.

We visited a coral reef near Bali where I used the GoPro Hero 6 to record footage of marine life and other interesting attractions.
