TrapKiddoes is a group of young musicians artists, all members are originally from Mandeni. The group consists of 6 members including their DJ (DJ Mfanie) who helps them in terms of performances and stuff.

The members of the group are namely KlippAh , YoeGee , Gifted , Mnqobstar King and DJ Mfanie. The group was formed back in 2016 when KlippAh started working with Mc Costar on forming the group. Other members were also joining in.

The group has been working very well in terms of the music they do, they have worked with one of the passionate acts in the music industry like King Nandio, Lowkey afrika, Nkosi Da Mgee, SGR and many others. The crew has worked very hard on their music journey, in the year of 2020 they were called for interviews on "Exclusive Mornings" 100.4 FM with , right after that they also went to "DJ Ngipheyami" fm with . After that, the crew received so many bookings and features.

They also got a recording deal the very same year with located at Mandeni, isithebe. They started working on their Extended Playlist last year (2020) which is set to drop this year. The members individually are planning to release something this year with working on his first ever Extended Playlist, also has a single with and coming up. is also working on his brand new single , also has an AmaPiano song featuring & TrapKiddoes titled and lastly will also be releasing his single .

Nicholas Sipho Ngwenya (born 17 January 1989) known by his stage name Funky Finest , is a South African artist, composer and kwaito Artist from Durban , South Africa. He is a founder of the record label Funky Records. Funky finest grew up In a small town called Kwa-Dukuza/ Stanger Started composing music since 2010. He has work with Msawawa in a single called 'Helicopter'. He also did a song with the late super producer Sir Bubzin they did a song together called 'Iyasho lento' and Funky finest is currently working on a huge project just release a hit single called 'Syakhobola' the song is doing well on digital platforms produced by Dj Visto and Lwazy M, It has received positive response from our fans around the continent of Africa e.g Nigeria, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa since the music video is playing on channel O tv. Newtonez was born Cebo Percy Manqele in Esikhawini in KwaZulu Natal South Africa. Having grown up in a township and the rural Obanjeni, the love for traditional and modern music grew tremendously. Throughout his life, Newtonez has always been fascinated by sound and how the world is represented through the ears of others. Naturally, he was drawn to sound manipulation. The interest was cultivated during his teenage years and further developed when he opted to take Music Production and Deejaying. After completing, Newtonez delved even more into his music practice, which involved township and rural ordinary life. The music, that Newtonez makes is only part of the narrative. He uses the practice of rooting his drum and percussion ensembles the traditional African way then combines it with modern synths and classical melody.

Newtonez was selected as one of the Graduates featured on uKhozi FM DJ sets (2014) again by DJTee on iGagasi FM In 2015, his music has been featured in the fresh cuts on Metro FM 2017(Ndiza which features Fisokuhle Mbonambi). He has released a single which features Bless da gentleman which was in rotation on local radio stations like iCora FM and Zululand FM.He is also featured on Sipho Ngubane's album (Channel of love deluxe edition)Newtonez works with Zululand Pride records,lives and works in Esikhawini,co-runs Zamusiq studios which offers recording services. Covid-19 cases surge in iLembe

ILEMBE District has been named a Covid-19 hotspot once again as the second wave of the virus continues to gain momentum across the country.

iLembe stands as the third highest in terms of infections in KwaZulu-Natal and as at Monday the death toll stood at 175 with 13 880 infections and 8997 recoveries. Local healthcare resources have been struggling, according to IPSS Medical Rescue.

IPSS said through a statement: “As the second wave of Covid-19 affects localised areas of the country, IPSS Medical Rescue and medical facilities within the region, are experiencing significant resource constraints.

“Medical facilities within the greater Durban area, both state and private, are mostly at capacity, in many instances with backlogs. Resources required for the immediate management of symptomatic Covid-19 patients, are overwhelmed. This includes pre-hospital resources. IPSS Medical Rescue has allocated additional resources in an attempt to provide medical assistance to the communities that we cover.

“The reality of this pandemic has been reaffirmed over recent days and the severity of the situation only continues to grow. We call on all to adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols at all times and to act responsibly.”

Addressing a media briefing on January 3, KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala said they were concerned having breached the 5000 mark for daily Covid-19 infections in KZN.

“When we were reporting the stats for 30 December 2020, our province had recorded 5 846 new infections and 116 deaths. It was the first time that we had gone beyond the 5000 mark – let alone approaching 6000.

“On New Year’s Eve, we improved slightly in terms of infections, and registered 5 311 new infections. But we registered 134 deaths. On New Year’s Day, we again saw a slight improvement, recording 4 974 new infections, and 21 fatalities. As of yesterday, we recorded a total of 4 714 new infections, bringing the province’s total number of Covid-19 infections to 209 691. Sadly, 85 people lost their lives over the past 24 hour reporting period.”

He said KZN has observed that the six districts that have been declared hotspots, that is eThekwini, uMgungundlovu, Ugu, Harry Gwala, King Cetshwayo, and iLembe, are recording a high number of cases daily.

“Family clusters have also increased, which clearly indicates that infected family members are not complying with self-quarantine and self- isolation rules. There are also a number of home deaths, and people dying on arrival at health facilities, which is a clear indication that people are reporting late to health facilities. We have also noticed that there is an increase in the number of index cases who are refusing to give a list of their contacts. This is highly problematic, as it hampers contact tracing, which is the cornerstone of the public health response to Covid-19. We are also concerned that some contacts are refusing to be tested.”

In responding to the second wave, the province has prepared more beds in response to the demand, he said.

“Our response includes the following:

• Repurposing of 540 beds in Ethekwini, iLembe and Harry Gwala;

• Commissioning of field hospitals which will give the province an additional 954 beds;

• The province has also engaged private facilities (hotels and lodges) for extra beds; and, so far, two facilities have been commissioned at Ugu and King Cetshwayo districts.”

Simphiwe Derrick Mgidi also known better known as Simdasong Born In a Small town in KwaZulu Natal, Mandeni in 23 December 1997. Simdasong is both a Producer and a Vocalist who is running his record label called Vinonga Records.

He is the one of the most Talented Musician and one of the most sought after Producer in the industry since he has worked with big artists such as Drama Dreezy, Sindiswa (Mongu Afrika) and Single, to mention a few. Even with this, it is the One Dance production with The Revolution that made him gain a different level for National Exposure.

Hamba nami hit maker started music at the early age singing at School, Choir Udumo High school , Abathokozisi Vocal group and etc. While details of his family are not known, one thing is clear and that is the fact that he got his musical influence from his brother, who was a DJ, which made it easy for him to fall in love with the craft.

In 2019 he was traveling for music and Performing In different places within KwaZulu Natal, He moved to Durban to learn about Production and he went to school to study how to DJ.

Simdasong Shared a stage with Character , Professor and other popular artists.

He is working provincial with Many artists in his Production collabo with likes of Drama Dreezy and etc, He is working on his album that might be released in March 2021. Smanga "Comedian" Mthembu was born and bred in KwaZulu Natal eMandeni Started the love of arts back in 2003 as he was part of the stage Drama at Siyavikelwa Primary school he went along to uThukela High where he started his own Drama Called "Izicishamlilo" in 2008...

From there he began to start hosting stand up comedy shows locally and he was invited to be part of Arts and Culture Mentorship program in 2010 where he obtained position number 1(out of 108 comedians) he went on travelling with his art as he has been in Gagasi Fm, KwaMuhle Museam(Dbn), Zigzag (Dbn),Sprytz (PMB playhouse and then he decided to play with bigger fishes where he was perfoming in The South African State theatre(PTA)...in 2018 he drop a comedy Movie called uMawengane which was on DSTV...
