Happy 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲! 🌟Today we celebrate the creativity and dedication behind every small business.

During a recent visit to the stunning 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧, I found myself asking my mother-in-law to excuse me while I took some pics. I felt like I need to explain to her that I’m not a photographer by trade (or an 'influencer'😂), but as a social media marketer, creating engaging tourism posts is essential. From showcasing magical places like the Rose Terrace at Vergelegen Wines to highlighting breathtaking views, visuals are key to attracting visitors and telling a destination’s story.

It was a (personal) reminder that for an entrepreneur, there’s no such thing as a real day off. Even when you’re having an outing with your family, you’re always thinking about your business—whether it’s spotting inspiration, strategizing, or building on your own skills.

Places like this tell a story and my goal is to help businesses share their charm with the world through social media visuals that inspire and attract visitors. 📸

I have just wrapped up a meaningful 10-week journey as the facilitator of a Social Media Course conducted over a WhatsApp group! Definitely a first for me...

Each Thursday, we delved into a new theme, with a graphic like this one to signal the start of the discussion. The first chat included polls about what platforms the participants were currently using in their personal capacity. From setup to content creation, we covered the basics in bite-sized chunks each week!

I am very grateful to Dr. Niki Glen of AfricaIgnite who brought me on board. Africa Ignite, in partnership with Zutari and Wild Coast Foods is leading a project currently being implemented in the Wild Coast of South Africa. The project, which is funded by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is a Social Employment Fund (SEF) project, has created temporary work (while developing new skills) for 1 110 people from 14 villages close to Lusikisiki.

It's been a fantastic journey diving into the world of social media with the Place Making group from this project.

Leanne and I were taken to galleries we might have otherwise missed, with interesting details pointed out to us and the chance to engage with artists and gallery owners. 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 ❤️

These enchanting vineyards, once charming but overgrown, have been recently revitalized, weaving a romantic tale that unfolds against the backdrop of a historic farm with a whimsically quirky past. The theme of love permeates Lievland Vineyards (meaning Loveland in Afrikaans) and is echoed in the very names of their wines like Liefkoos Rosé and Heart’s Ease Syrah. Even their logo features a classic cupid, riding a springbok, a homage to a tender story pair of Lievland horses who adopted a baby springbok.

Side note: I believe "Liefkoos" means "caress" in English? Please share your understanding or interpretation with me in the comments below?

At Lievland Café, where beauty and taste intertwine, the cuisine is flavourful and gorgeous, served in a setting that whispers of romance.
