It's been 12 years since I last worked in an office. I miss the banter, the office spice, the IT support... and the mystery birthday cake that just appeared in the kitchen. Yesterday I bought my own slice, broke my diet, and told my family it was 'birthday cake' from 'the lady in Accounts', I think?' They went with it 😂

Back at 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧 - a place that never fails to enchant 🌿✨Friendly chickens mingling with families on the lawn, the most divine berry iced lolly in hand, and this time: a burst of golden clivias lighting up the Puff Adder walk. 🍊 Blood oranges glowing in the greenhouse felt like hidden treasure. Always something magical to discover.

Pastoral bliss at 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐡 🌿 🍇 Tucked away, just off the R44, this charming spot served up a lovely laid-back breakfast in a tranquil garden setting. Couldn’t resist wandering the grounds to meet the horses and stroll past the strawberry fields 🍓

Three and a half years later and I am still entranced by Stellenbosch and all that she offers. The Eerste Rivier weaves through the village like a sparking necklace, sometimes still and sometimes gushing.
