I have found that music producers rarely break the perceived barrier of being artists themselves. Curious fact: I never wanted to produce music. I merely wanted to create and sing, and started learning the tech. And woke up one morning... stuck in my own gear(s).
So on the journey of discovering how my heart was marred in the relentless day-to-day of laying down my own dream in favor of earning a living, many songs had been born from my own pen.
Weird thing, in a single day in July, I gained around 500 new listeners on Spotify for an African track that I composed in 2012.
But, most days, I still feel like I am sinking. And funny as it is - this song has played so many times on RSG that it has paid itself 10 times back. Thank you for the cult support... hehe 🎤🎧
