Oppad oop waters toe

om oop waters in te gaan
is daar ‘n paar draaie in die lewe
waar ek verby moet swem
en om dinge interessant te maak
leer ek om ook onderwater rond te kyk
en onthou ek al die padlangs-mooiighede
wat my krag gee om die growwigheid
waaragter drome soms vashaak, te oorkom
en onthou ek, deursettingvermoë
is ‘n kosbaar kommoditeit
vir moeilike dae vol benoudheid
