MINISTERIAL IMBIZO HELD IN IPELEGENG TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY CONCERNS
On Tuesday, 14 May 2024, the South African Police Service (SAPS) held a Ministerial Imbizo in Ipelegeng, Mamusa local municipality. This event aimed to engage with community members about their concerns regarding the reporting of criminal activities to the police.
In attendance were Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale, North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Kenneth Morolong, North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari, and Executive Mayor of Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati. Officials from the municipality, including Mamusa Mayor Mittah Chelechele and the Speaker Doctor Batsi, were also present.
The Imbizo provided a platform for open dialogue between the police and the community, focusing on improving trust and cooperation in crime reporting and prevention.
