Couple missing amid stokvel money concerns
A 29-year-old man, Lebohang Mokatedi, and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Nthabiseng Mokonyana, from Botshabelo, Free State have been missing since Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The couple was last seen by their families traveling in a gold-colored Nissan Micra with registration plates FYN 754 FS.
Despite efforts by their families to reach them, there has been no contact, raising concerns about their whereabouts.
Lebohang is known for running a society and stokvel, where members contribute money throughout the year to receive a share with interest and groceries in December.
However, members of his stokvel are now in the dark about their expected payouts, leading to suspicions that Lebohang may have disappeared with their money. This has raised alarm within the community.
The Botshabelo police are seeking help to locate the couple.
