On this occasion, we had the privilege of visiting the Whispering Hope Africa Initiative, an NGO that shares our belief in the transformative power of education to shape a nation. Their noble mission involves empowering rural communities through free training, education, workshops, and more.
In our latest venture, we shine a spotlight on a community that is often overlooked and neglected – children with autism, Down syndrome, speech impairments, and learning disabilities. Sadly, these children and their families are frequently marginalized and rejected by society, unfairly seen as being cursed.
During our visit, we had the honor of meeting Mrs. Franca, an extraordinary individual who founded the Center for Intellectual and Special Needs Support. Her inspiration stemmed from the personal experience of having one of her twins diagnosed with special needs.
The encounter was nothing short of heartwarming and eye-opening, as we witnessed the love and care poured into these children at the center. Mrs. Franca and her team have created a haven where these children can grow, learn, and develop their unique skills and talents.
By sharing this story, we hope to raise awareness about the challenges faced by these children and their families while shedding light on the incredible efforts made by individuals like Mrs. Franca and organizations like Whispering Hope Africa Initiative. The democratisation of technology between genders is on the horizon. W.TEC is a Nigerian non-governmental organization working for the economic and social empowerment of girls and women, using information and communication technologies (ICTs). They have chosen to focus on ICT because statistical evidence has shown that in most African countries, women’s use and knowledge of ICTs (to store, share, organise and process information) is lower than men’s, denying them of income-generating opportunities and the chance to network with others.

As a new year begins and our kids return to school, we feature Ahmeds story, a young boy who suffers from Sickle Cell disease.
We all remember how much fun school was, but also how at times it was really tough. Now imagine how much more difficult this critical time in our lives would be if you were this young man. Ahmed is a much-loved 13-year-old boy living, along with his family.
Over the years Ahmed has been fearlessly battling his diagnosis of sickle cell disease, a degenerative condition that he is currently being treated for. He receives medication on a daily basis, but due to financial constraints on the family, Ahmed is presently unable to manage his fragile health status.
Furthermore, on a dark day for Ahmed's family, a domestic incident involving a gas explosion occurred at home leaving this young man badly burnt. In treatment he, unfortunately, received further sepsis, worsening his condition.
