Dear Artists, Here's the truth.
If you really want to compete with artists who are signed to Record Labels, you gonna need money, a lot of it. Music has a lot of competition, you can't just record a dope song then share it on social media and expect to blow up. It doesn't work like that, you need to be able to pay PR Agencies in order for them to get you what record labels are getting their artists or similar to what they getting. At most times, when you see an Indipendent artist blowing up or doing big things is because they have a large team behind them. Their probably financing their musical career and you too must start doing the same for yourself or you'll end up as a "Struggling Artist" . The truth doesn't sound good, but it is.....If you don't have money it's understandable, but don't just chill, try to get a part-time job or something so that you can finance your music career. It's expensive to be a professional artist, from the creative process to heavy promotions. From buying great instruments, quality recording, artwork, photoshoots, putting your music on digital platforms, registrations Risa, Capasso...all the way to promotions on social media, digital media and traditional media, video shoots, album launches, buying new clothes and even Payola. If you want to be in the forefront of your industry you gotta have a great budget. Invest in yourself if you believe in yourself that much. Unless music is just a hobbie for you and you counting on luck to blow up. This is the Truth, Indulge it. You need money, Period!
