Thukela Khumalo aka Tukz Ancestral is a versatile self taught Deep House dj and music producer. Born in Gqeberha formerly known as Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, now based in Cape Town. Tukz Ancestral fell in love with music from an early age, as he grew up into a household where music was partly playing in the backround between chores and entertainment. In 2018 with an undying passion and quest for how the sound comes about. He met Siphe Tebeka who was already familiar with music production, which fascinated Tukz Ancestral enough to install his first Digital Audio Work Station(Fl studio).

Tukz Ancestral’s sound is influenced by the fusion of deep house and electro elements which sums the versatility on his projects. He released his first project “Thoughts Of You” under Artful Recordings and followed by other extended plays “Alule” under Local Family Records, “People Talk” under Monocles Welkom Music, “Can of Warms” under FonikLab Records. With a sole purpose of exalting the music culture he co-found a label "TD Grooves Records",together with a music enthusiast Deep Sort 95. The label was established in 2020 and it aims at giving upcoming deep house producers a platform to showcase their talent.

Tukz Ancestral then released other projects titled 'Thukela”, “Soul In Mind”, “Hypnosis” under TD Grooves Records and most of his tracks got featured on various compilations around the globe.
