Our Story

Being passionate about older Mercedes-Benzes, their over engineered quality, reliability and their timelessness and having personally owned countless in the last 30 years, I came to realise just how hard it was to access a reliable, helpful source of information and, when required, assistance with my cars.

Having identified the need of a resource, a community for those, like me ,who love the brand and drive their older cars daily, I established The Old Merc Guy back in 2010.

Here we welcome you regardless of whether your old Merc is knackered or pristine, this is a home where you can ask advice, get the right advice when buying a Merc, get valuations, get advice on solving issues with you car and when the time comes a place to sell your car. We are also in the process of establishing a network of ethically run Old Merc Guy partner stores who you can take your car to in the knowledge that you’re not going to be ripped off by some dodgy mechanic or panel be**er.
