Xolisa Menemene (33) was born and raised in Port Elizabeth. He was raised by a single parent with siblings. He studied his secondary education at Lawson Brown High School and graduated his higher education in PE Technikon now known as the Nelson Mandela University where he studied Radiography. As a licensed Diagnostic Radiographer, Xolisa owns his own practice, Xolisa Menemene Diagnostic Radiographers (Pty) Ltd.

After doing studies of the XRay market in the townships, it was visible that there is a problem in the process involving medical practitioners and referrals of XRay services. Xolisa mentions that he saw how great the population in townships was and the number of general practitioners there are in townships. As great as that is for doctors, patients are referred by doctors to XRay centre's in the Urban areas and hospitals in town. He explains how time consuming and costly it can be for patients to travel for XRay reports. He also goes on to explain how Shopping malls have moved closer and inward in townships where the majority of every city resides. He strategically positioned himself in a shopping centre with a medical centre in the township to solve this problem.

It was never easy starting an XRay business for him in the beginning. The cost of putting an XRay practice together cost millions in equipments and setting up a safe facility. Xolisa remembers exactly a year ago trying to convince funders to back him. After many rejections for the proposal of opening his practice, he decided to go all in! Out of all the request for funding, he became successful.

As he continues building great relationships with successful medical practitioners in the locations. He spearheads his mission to develop more practices in the Eastern Cape. He started in Ziyabuya shopping centre in KwaDwesi and in exactly a year later after opening his practice, Xolisa has already opened his second practice in King Williams Town. He has a team of people looking after his practices when his out of town working in another one. Doctors are realizing the efficiency of his practice and they continue referring great numbers of their patients to his practices.
