This morning, our founder Rafieka Davis, who is also the director of the upcoming short film “The Pathfinder,” handed over 40 blazers and berets to the talented students of Gelvandale High School’s March and Drill team, along with a brand new drum kit!

“The Pathfinder” is more than just a film; it’s a beacon of hope that underscores the strength and unity of our community. Our kids thrive in sports because of community support, and sometimes a fundraiser makes all the difference. “Julle weet is mos van vetkoekies, koeksisters, pancakes the works.”

We are immensely proud of our heritage and our stories. We want to emphasize that we are more than the negative narratives often portrayed; we are a community of resilience, discipline, and positivity. Through our brand, we strive to tell these stories and highlight the pride we have in our people.

A heartfelt thank you to Gelvandale High School for their incredible collaboration. In “The Pathfinder,” the school is named St. Elizabeth, but it is indeed Gelvandale High. We are also grateful to the dedicated coach, Miss Alicia, from Gelvandale High, who graciously took on a role in the film. Your support means the world to us. Also a huge thank you to coach Revaldo who helped trained the professional actors who was part of the film production to be able to keep up with the March and drill team. Your support means the world to us.

We had the amazing opportunity to present our film, The Pathfinder, at the prestigious and internationally recognized Durban Filmmart!
