Radio Turf’s Elective AGM underway at R40 Hall.

RADIO TURF 103.8FM has commenced its Elective Annual General Meeting at R40 Conference Hall , in University of Limpopo. This event marks the opportunity for the election of new station board members. The election proceedings coincide with the station's 30th Year Anniversary.
Earlier this year, Radio Turf engaged in celebratory initiatives with its listeners at Paledi Mall, culminating in a Gala Dinner held at Meropa Casino in May. Different stakeholders including Road Accident Fund, Bakgakga ba Mothapo, CCMA, ICASA, Public Protector South Africa,Moletjie Community Radio, Mohodi fm, Central University of Technology( Free State), Mighty Worshipers Gospel Choir, and listeners have made their way to the meeting.

Taxi drivers' mental health is essential : Dr Ramathuba

Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has emphasized the importance of prioritizing the mental health of taxi drivers to ensure the safety of passengers on the road. She called for collaborative efforts between taxi owners and the MEC for Transport, Violet
Mathye, to recognize and incentivize safe driving practices.

”I wish we can collaborate to create an award for a taxi driver who has maintained a clean record by avoiding accidents throughout the year.“ She said.

This message was conveyed during SANTACO's Gala Dinner at Jack Botes Hall, following the organization's AGM.

She also urged investors to consider investing in the taxi sector due to its significant impact on the economy.

The formal bail application for the three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of University of Limpopo student Pleasure Khoza has been postponed to December 3, 2024. Today, the three suspects appreed at the Mankweng magistrate's court.

Tsh*tereke Matibe, Limpopo MEC for Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, has assured that his department is collaborating with law enforcement to guarantee tourist safety during the festive season. This assurance came during the 'Limpopo ka December' summer campaign launch at Thaba Moshate in Sekhukhune District. The campaign, running until February 2025, seeks to promote Limpopo as a prime tourist destination, enhancing its economic prospects through tourism.

“This is one of the four critical seasonal campaigns that seeks to promote and market destination Limpopo as a viable tourist destination both locally (South Africa) and the rest of the world. Already the month of October was packed with so many activities that transcend into both November and December months leaving our province abuzz with more to enjoy. The Summer Campaign we are launching today, is a marketing activity undertaken by the entity to create awareness and market the province as a preferred destination of choice during this festive season.” said MEC.

The launch was culminated by the signing of Memorandum of Understandings between Limpopo Tourism agency and Thaba moshate.

| Sergeant Malemela’s family attempts to bribe the Magistrate.

Magistrate Mankutu Mokgokong disclosed today that somebody claiming to be Sergeant Alfred Mokgoadi Malemela's family member sought to bribe him in connection to the attempted murder case involving Malemela. The attempted bribe incident occurred at the magistrate's residence.

Mankweng Police officer, Sergeant Malemela was present for the ruling on his bail petition at the Mankweng Magistrate Court today. The final verdict is expected on Friday, October 25, 2024. Malemela stands accused of shooting his former partner, Victoria Ramaphoko, seven times on September 27, 2024, with the victim currently recuperating in the hospital.
