Attention Grade 8s!

Don’t forget to tune in to the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2025 on Thursday, 6 February, at 19:00! This is an important part of our EMS curriculum, covering Topic 1: The Government and Topic 2: The National Budget.

During SONA, the President will outline the government’s plans for the year, including economic policies, service delivery, and key national issues. This will help you understand how the government functions and makes decisions that affect all of us.

Why is this important for EMS?
📌It helps us understand how the government operates.
📌 It links to our discussions on the economy and budgeting.
📌 It prepares you for our Term 1 Data Response Task.

Also, be sure to watch the Budget Speech by our Minister of Finance, Hon. Enoch Godongwana, in the coming weeks. This speech will give insights into how the government allocates money for different sectors like education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Your Term 1 assessment will be based on this, so take notes!

BACK TO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY! 🎉

Welcome back to school, everyone! We're thrilled to see our students return, refreshed and ready to learn. As we begin this new academic year, we want to remind you that our school is a community built on respect, kindness, and inclusivity.

To ensure everyone has a fantastic year, we have a few important reminders;

• Our school day starts at 07:45 am and ends at 15:00 pm.

• It’s summer and therefore, No learner will be allowed to wear Baseball Cap, Beanie, Bomber hat nor stragels, and dickies in the school premises.

• Please make sure to arrive on time and attend all classes.

• We also expect all learners to follow our school rules and behave in a way that respects themselves, their peers and our school staff.

• Wear proper school uniform.

•Weapons and drugs are not allowed in the school premises.

Communication is key to a successful school year. We encourage you to stay in touch with your teachers and school administrators through regular WhatsApp and facebook updates, parent-teacher meetings , and school events. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're always here to help.
