A "Simple girl from the Farm" is penned by mme Matshidiso Modise. In this book, the author relates her interesting life story. She grew up in the farm in the then North West, and later relocated ( together with her family) to Kagiso, Mogale City. Coming from humble beginnings, she had to look for employment to help her poor family. A story of many black people. She did menial jobs to bring food to the table. A late bloomer, she had her first boyfriend in her mid 20s. It turned out that her lover was a player and soccer star. Not only that, but an abuser as well. When she found out that he was seeing other girls, she also found out that everybody (including a family member) knew except her. She decided to dump him, only to find she was pregnant by him, but didn't tell him. Sadly, she had an ectopic pregnancy. Later, the baby passed on. The pain still cuts deep. Without Matric, she became a lab assistant in one of the big companies in Luipaardsvlei. She is now retired and busy with her second book.

Dear readers,

I have just completed a book about the world boxing champion. When you write a book, you become attached to it. And when you complete it, there is an anti climax. I have mixed emotions right now. I'm struggling to detach.

Next on my menu are two biographies of notable individuals. My plate is full, but I'm enjoying it. It's like riding a bicycle. I'm not undermining the work load, it's a lot. It's all in the game.

Mange Publishing will be publishing two books in the second quarter of the year. Others will be published in the third quarter. It's gratifying to see an author publishing his or her book, especially with us.

When I started book publishing, I never thought it would be demanding. In fact, it is a full time job. And I, on the other hand, have to juggle work, writing and ghostwriting. It's no walk in the park, but I have signed for it. Let me put pen to paper.
