Why Intaba yase Dubai wants to leave Ambitious records.
The back story between Intaba yase Dubai - imali eningi - and Ambitiouz.
Watch video for full story:
Just before lockdown started, Intaba was in Big zulu's studio with a producer called DR, there they decided to record a song but Intaba only put in a hook and then left the song for later. Then before he could go back to finish the song lockdown hit and Intaba could nolonger travel to the studio as he was emakhaya. He later signed with Ambitiouz and by then BigZulu had caught wind of the song he liked it and decided to finish it. BZ also put the late Ricky Rick on it as well and then later called Intaba about the song, by then the song was already complete and intaba didnt know it. Intaba having then signed to Mabitiouz thought it would be good practice to let his management handle the discussion surrounding his 7.5% stake of the song 'imali eningi'. Ambitious took over from him, the problems began when KFC struck a deal with Big Zulu and that deal is said to have potentially made a coulple of millions, and to this day Intaba has not received anything from that deal as a stake holder in the song. The 2nd issue he has with Ambitiouz is that they have been ripping him off in terms of his gig payments, Intaba sates that from the time he signed, Ambiouz began paying him 3.5k which later became 3.7k a month which he was told its for personal upkeep. However when he saw his gig reports, we would be booked for between R20k to R40k but the highest amount he would get paid was R11k and sometimes R6k.
Long story short, intaba now wants to leave Ambitiouz because of their differences he feels he can management himself just fine and that he wants to own his own work. The problem however is that he is still signed to Ambitiouz and owes them 5 more albums but he insists theres no way he is willing to record under ambitious anymore.
