Today the world is defined by the term 'Information Age.' All businesses, both large and small, require effective and efficient business communication solutions in order to continuously meet their customer expectations and attain a competitive advantage, and therefore be successful. Whether a company is large or small it is realized that, the right amount of financing, materials, talent, and exper

ience are not enough to succeed without a good communication system in place that enables smooth transaction sealing. Communications is at the heart of regional and international integration, with the development of an efficient, cost effective and technologically advanced communications infrastructure essential to South Africa's success in the global market. With the economies of most countries becoming increasingly sophisticated and knowledge-intensive, there is a greater need for the existence of an efficient network that will enable decision-makers to have access to timely and accurate data to facilitate decision-making and transaction sealing. We are on the brink of penetrating a lucrative market in a rapidly growing industry. The current increase in the number of entrepreneurs, and competition among existing companies presents an opportunity for Matat Mail to pe*****te the market. Our services/products will be positioned very carefully.

Home of Comfort Dormitory Destroyed by Fire

At about 6 p.m. this evening a fire gutted one of the dormitories at the Home of Comfort in Scott Street. All the children managed to escape with no serious injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Shortly after the start of the blaze a plea was made to the community to donate blankets mattresses and bedding to accommodate the children. Within minutes people started streaming to the home of comfort with generous donations. Within an hour enough items had been received to accommodate all of the children.
The children are being housed at the Peter Pearce Centre for now and have received counseling from social workers. More details will be released as the story develops.
A big thank you to the community for their rapid and very generous response in assisting these children in need.

ATM calls on Ramaphosa to reveal what he discussed with Gates.

Theparty says the president should clarify the issues around possible Covid-19 vaccines in Africa.
The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently meet with political party leaders before addressing the nation.
The meeting will be an opportunity for him to clarify issues that have been causing divisions among South Africans, according to the party.
The ATM would like the president to clarify allegations that during his meeting with American billionaire Bill Gates he discussed Covid-19 vaccines being piloted in Africa. The allegations may stem from news reports that Gates is funding a vaccine in Africa, which was subsequently corrected by at least one news outlet on Sunday.
“If not, are you able to take the nation into your confidence and disclose what you discussed with Bill Gates during his visit on our shores in Feb 2020?” said the ATM.
Gates visited South Africa in February for a tennis match with Trevor Noah, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
Africans have been up in arms following Noah and Gates’ interview in which they discussed Covid-19 relief efforts by the Bill Gates Foundation, and the fallout that then followed from the incorrect news report.

While Gates discussed helping African countries with testing kits, among other initiatives, people seem to have confused the interview with that of French doctors who discussed testing drugs in Africa.
But the comedian clarified that nothing of the sort was discussed.
He said: “Where in this entire interview do you hear either of us saying a vaccine will be tested in Africa? Are you confusing us with those French doctors or are you just trying to get retweets?”
He said he received death threats following the interview, which has been partly blamed on an incorrect News24 article about the issue.
The ATM nevertheless called on Ramaphosa to explain why Noah and Gates are supposedly “spearheading” the conversations around “such a complicated medical issue”.
“All we are asking is for the record to be set straight on these matters to unite the country in fighting Covid-19.”

Traffic officer suspended for theft THE KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport has suspended a traffic official who was allegedly caught on CCTV camera stealing a cellphone while in full uniform in Pietermaritzburg. The officer in question has been served with a letter of suspension pending an internal investigation and a criminal case which is being investigated by the police. Last week, a video which showed a traffic officer from the Public Transport Enforcement Unit (PTES — also known as Shanela), allegedly stealing a cellphone at a food outlet went viral on social media. The department launched its own internal investigation and has reportedly met with the management of the fast food outlet to verify the authenticity of the video. The traffic officer’s suspension follows a letter written by the department last week in order to afford him the opportunity to give his version of the story and for him to give reasons as to why he should not be suspended. Should the officer be found guilty, the department may consider tougher action since the officer was in full uniform during the crime. — Supplied

If you are driving on N2 road between Kokstad and Umthatha you are warned that you are going to be delayed for at least six hours. That road is going to be closed anytime now. Traffic officers in the scene are saying this is because of a bus accident that happened in the Sugarbush area on a small bridge to the yellow house to KwaBaca. They say the bus was coming from Durban to Umthatha lost the road rolled to the small river next to the bridge. Although passengers have been taken by another bus a driver is beleived he has died and still inside the bus. So to find him the bus have to be pulled out of that river. According to them that will require the road to be closed for 6 hours. But it is said a bypass for small cars is arranged. So if ever you are driving to that road be prepared for a delay.
