ESKOM IS IMPLEMENTING STAGE 2 LOAD SHEDDING
The embattled power utility has attributed the possible decision to breakdowns at some of its power stations.

“The breakdowns of a generation unit each at the Majuba, Tutuka and two at Kriel power stations have put a severe strain on the power generation system. Eskom cautions the public that Stage 2 loadshedding would be required to be implemented at short notice this evening at 16:00 – 24:00 should any further significant breakdowns occur,” Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha in a statement.
