A big day for me at Woodcliffe yesterday. Representatives from WWF and Dept of Environment came to do an assessment. The aim is to preserve Woodcliffe in all its glory for future generations. They were blown away by the pristine nature of the farm. The flowering tree in the forest is an Ilex Mitis (an indigenous holly). Somehow all the years of compiling tree lists, bird lists, photographing the wild flowers all add up. How fortunate are we to live in such a place !

Travel Tip #1 When booking accommodation BOOK DIRECT. Booking agencies charge the establishments 15% commission to land your booking, so at most establishments you will get a better rate booking directly with the the establishment as there is no commission involved.

Hy jeuk al vir jare om die Bastervoedpad te ry, maar toe hy besef daar is meer as 10 passe in dié deel van die Drakensberge, was daar geen meer keer aan Willem van der Berg nie.
