Quite frankly by a lot of things. First of all, it is the gross misconceptions floating around about amaMpondo and Mpondoland. Take note it is not Pondo, its Mpondo for umzekelo. The incomplete views about amaMpondo of people with a shallow understanding of Mpondoland are on the list as well. We have not forgotten, naba bakuthi, who go to KZN for one week, abuye ethetha isiZulu umntu, liphi ibhong
o lakho. Second to that it is how we are portrayed, is’kakhulu kula mzi kuthwa kukwa Media. The current media platforms have a tendency of portraying Mpondoland from the poverty and social ills vantage point. We do not deny the challenges that Mpondoland still faces. Come on; sihlala apha. Siluyeke ke uchuku olo. We have also identified that there is no media platform that publishes specific information for personal and professional development to the Mpondo people. In the same breath there is no publication that showcases the developmental strides of Mpondoland for the world to see. Koko kuhlala kwethu ke apha emakhaya, we came up with the Kleva Nkeva concept. Literally meaning, ‘innovative rurals’ or ‘enlighted homelands’. A publication that collects pieces of life within Mpondoland and presents it weekly on a digital platform as well as quarterly through a print medium. Our intention is to collect these pieces and portray them in a full, realistic and positive picture. Kleva Nkeva aims to be a publication will be catalyst to social upliftment apha emaMpondweni. Ngaphaya koko, sifuna ukuqinisekisa that konke okuhle nokulungileyo kwamaMpondo kuyavela ezizweni. We have set our sights on making sure that the context for our publication either originates or has been generated from apha kulo kaFaku umhlaba. On the other hand Kleva Nkeva serves as a portal for developmental information to reach Mpondoland, more especially in the education sphere. Asibabo ompondo zihlanjiwe kulento ye media publications. We just a have a goal of facilitating a publication of the people created by the people. That is why we ask that all who can; freely contribute and positively criticize as we grow Kleva Nkeva. If by any chance, nangeli lincinane ithuba, you have negative and destructive criticism. Please calm down and consider, ‘etshi mxmm, utsh’ onqalo kanti’ as our full and final response.
