Genius Marketing ⭐️⭐️⭐️ the story behind the Michelin stars… read on.

The original Michelin Man from 1894.⁣ The Michelin Man is white because rubber tires are naturally white. It was not until 1912, that carbon chemicals were mixed into the white tires, which turned them black. The change was structural, not aesthetic. By adding carbon, tires became more durable.⁣
Michelin also began reviewing restaurants so that more people would travel further distances in their cars to eat at these restaurants. This in turn would wear down their tires faster, and force them to buy more.⁣
The star system that Michelin uses goes up to three and is broken down by whether or not it's worth driving to the restaurant.
One star: "A very good restaurant in its category"
Two star: "Excellent cooking, worth a detour"
Three star: "Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey...

𝗧𝘄𝘆𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺. You will be working across a diverse range of projects in a fast-paced studio where you will have the opportunity to expand your skill-set and play an integral part in the company’s future.

You should be a confident communicator, able to demonstrate concepts quickly and efficiently. An organised approach to work is important, the ability to organise and adapt to working with a variety of clients across different industries in a small team is vital. We have no time to micro manage individuals, so self-starting, accountability and actively contributing to a team dynamic is pivotal in this role. If one cog is weak, the team will feel it.
You will have to take full ownership of your projects, which will include ideation, implementation and project management of design related projects.

You will however have the support of passionate and experienced co-workers. You will be required to sit in on briefings, status meetings and creative reviews as well as present your creative work to clients and team members on a regular basis. This is not for someone who is unable to plan and produce without constant reminding.

Twyne is not your normal creative studio, and definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. If you love big agency life, and all that glitters then we suggest you move on. We are a small female led team, who operates as a close-knit family and who have worked together for many years. We appreciate good design, but we are passionate about people and creativity for the greater good of humanity. We are mindful, compassionate and require the same from our co-workers. A good work life balance will be honoured.
A more senior role may be considered for a reduced work week salary.

✅ Basic knowledge of Excel
✅ Word and Powerpoint Advanced User Template Creation will be a huge advantage
✅ A relevant tertiary qualification or strong self-taught portfolio to back up your skillsets
✅ At least three years industry/agency experience
✅ Basic Animation of graphics
✅ Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Adobe Design Creative Suite (Photoshop,
✅ Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, XD)
✅ Understanding of basic WordPress and HTML a huge plus (Basic uploads and updates)

✅ You have a proven track record with contactable references and 3-5 years experience
✅ You have a strong visual portfolio of evidence

✅ You are passionate about ideas that makes a difference in the world - this is our mantra.
✅ You have an understanding and appreciation for great design
✅ You have experience with both print and digital media
✅ You have knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
✅ You have excellent project management, time management and communication skills
✅ You are able to give and receive constructive criticism
✅ You have the ability to work independently and in a collaborative workplace supporting, core, remote working and distributed teams
✅ You will need good, stable, internet connectivity for a full time remote working position. This is currently a remote position but in the near future this appointment may be required to work from either a Cape Town or Johannesburg Office.
