A cold front is expected over the western parts of the country tomorrow (Thursday 08/07/2021). Strong to gale northwesterly winds (50-60km/h gusting 80km/h) are expected over the Northern Cape and Western Cape interior and spreading to the south coast of the Western Cape by the afternoon.
Offshore, between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay, strong to gale NW’ly to W’ly winds are expected from the morning with significant wave heights of 4.0 to 5.0 m. Rainfall accumulation from the afternoon over the City of Cape Town, southern parts of the Cape Winelands and Theewaterskloof municipalities of 15-25 mm reaching 30-40 mm in the mountains is possible. Rain conditions are expected to clear throughout the night.
