Based in Durban, South Africa - HitRecord offers a full range of services, right from drafting the first idea, through to a final master. Brent Quinton has been in the industry for over 20 years. He was head engineer at a local Durban recording studio before branching off as a freelancer and starting Hit Record in early 2010. Not only has he done recording and producing, but he also toured with lo

cal rock bands Arapaho and Tree 63 as front of house engineer. His keen ear as an excellent front of house engineer has assisted him in his post production work, making him one of the best in CD mastering in Durban. He has worked with local bands such as Gangs of Ballet, Farryl Purkis, John Ellis (Tree 63), Guy Buttery, The Arrows etc.

The dawn of a new era has arrived! After 12 years of HitRecord-ing, I would like to announce that I am starting a new (ad)venture!

Thank you to all of you who’ve engaged me in the tracking, mixing, writing, and designing of all things audio, that have been my “day-to-day” at HR. It has been an epic, unforgettable journey.

Here’s to giving up the good, to go for the great!
