“This is the radio voice of international evangelism in Tangier. We are happy to greet you in the name of the Lord on this, our first day of broadcasting of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Those were the first words spoken on-air by TWR. Ralph Freed, father of our founder Paul Freed, greeted the people of Spain and surrounding areas from our very first transmitter in Morocco. Since that day exactly 69 years ago, countless hours of broadcasting have ministered to generations of believers and non-believers alike, knowing that the gospel is for everybody and that all peoples should have access to the redemptive power of Jesus in their heart language.
We are so blessed with this work, blessed to have been called into this ministry and family and to be able to share this good, good news with the world. Whether we’re engineers, accountants, business professionals or creatives, it’s messy, beautiful work, and we cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store next!
