The movement was founded by Sipho “the BRANCH” Tshabalala in 2012 who is also born on the ninth day of November which makes up 9/11.

Cross Disciples is a movement driven by the primary focus of bringing about solutions to the problems all humanity face, and their music is inspired by the American Freedom Day including the Emergency Number 9/11; and as the number represents freedom and solution so does Cross Disciples represent freedom and solution through their music. The South African native says South Africa also embodies 9/1

1 through the countries nine provinces and eleven official languages. The Johannesburg born and bred is called “the BRANCH” because of his versatile ability of branching out from doing Hip Hop Music to Ultra Dance and House, Rock, Reggae, RnB, Soul, Classical, Kwaito and Gospel. “the BRANCH” hails out of the infamous Eldorado Park, a southern suburb of Johannesburg which is popular for its high level of crime and drug abuse; which is the reason why he initially started the movement in order to bring about a positive transformation.
