TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTRODUCTION
The Overstay Music Awards (OMA) celebrates Malawian talent in Johannesburg, South Africa. Providing a platform to showcase and encourage artistic growth.
KEY POINTS IN THE PROCESS
1. Call for Nominees: Open from May 20th, 2025, to July 20th, 2025.
2. Eligibility: Singles and recordings released between September 2024 and September 2025.
3. Multiple Entries: Artists can be entered into multiple categories.
4. Judging: A panel selects nominees, and the top 5 (minimum 3) per category will be announced on August 1st, 2025.
5. Voting: Public voting opens on August 2nd, 2025, and closes on September 30th, 2025. The results will be verified by judges and revealed on the main gala event (on 5th October 2025 and venue to be announced)
PRIZES
- A music trophy will be awarded to the winning artist or group.
BROADCAST AND EXPLOITATION RIGHTS
By participating, nominees grant OMA the right to:
1. Use their photograph, name, likeness, image, and biography for marketing and broadcasting.
2. Use sound recordings for promotional purposes.
GENERAL
1. Waiver of Claims: Entrants waive any claims against OMA and Overstay Entertainment.
2. Use of Materials: OMA can use contributor materials for promotional purposes.
3. Representation and Warranty: Entrants warrant they have the authority to grant rights.
