Being a dad has made me stronger in so many ways. I had to keep going, picking myself up after each failure. I had to think big because my biggest desire was to give my daughter a better life. This vision of supporting and caring was a part of me and drove me to overcome every fear. Being a dad had brought out parts of myself that I didnβt even know existed.
Education starts with me and preparing my daughter for this world is also my duty. School is important but Emotional Intelligence; Self-Mastery and A Resilient Mindset is a parent's responsibility.
I set a goal for myself as a father. I told myself that by the time my daughter turns 16:
- She will learn to drive a car, change a tire and manage basic household duties.
- She will learn self-love and see the beauty in herself.
- She will know that success is happiness.
- She will discover that her mind is a powerful tool, and her spirit has infinite potential.
- We will go to the gym together since managing your body is the start to self-mastery.
- Above all else β Just Be Happy.
The challenge here is that I will have to lead by example and embody the right values.
To all my brothers and fathers. The work we do forms the foundation of society , and very often is done in silence. You make sacrifices for your family that no-one else will see. Sometimes we have no-one to complain to β because this is part of our job. The world expects this from us.
I know your worth. I recognise the effort.
We are often labelled because of the actions of a minority of men. Men are NOT trash. Some men abuse and have lost their way. Some men manipulate, cheat, and hurt, Just like some women forget their purpose.
The majority of men work diligently, sacrificing their happiness for their families. We are powerful and brilliant beings of light, strength, and love.
Let us inspire each other to be better, to support where we can.
Being a dad is tough and that is why you have the job.
Remember the source of your strength is within.
Let's make this coming Sunday special for all fathers and father figures!
