Early morning surprise. Story 👇🏼

As we entered the gate, we saw a couple of cars who told us that they saw some lions. The grass was too tall for us to see anything. But we still decided to wait for a while. The sun was just rising on the horizon and the golden light was passing through the brown dry grass while the early morning cold wind was hitting our cheeks. We can see some commotion and grass moving but no sign of any lions. We decided to go a little ahead based on direction of movement and had a small passage in between all the grass. I had my camera ready with nothing but hope. Just as it was about to give up there was sudden movement and this lion cub exactly came out of the passage of grass where there was a gap and my camera was pointed. Patience is always rewarding in the bush.
We moved ahead to have some breakfast after this exciting start to the day.

A male lion framed in between the legs of an elephant. It was a weird situation for photography and didn’t look like I was going to get any usable images from this sighting. Both distance was far enough and the clutter was thick. That’s when this elephant was returning from the waterhole just passed between me and the lion giving me this unique frame.

Incredibly adorable pose!!!

While drive up the mountains of Pilanesberg national park we found a pride of lions just walking around. Few young lions and few older ones. While others were exploring the region, this female decided to pose for me. I found her pose so cute and adorable!!!

A leopard sub adult looks up at the meal hanging from the tree while the mother takes her own share of the food.

We had this sighting right outside our lodge barely 150 mts away. As soon we ventured out we found them together next to a small river bed.

Everyone needs a hug.(view full screen)

We were in search of tiny lion cubs in the southern region of Kruger National Park. We heard of sighting them the previous day and went straight to that road in the morning. After searching for several mins nothing showed up. We just stood at a point to see if we can hear anything. Just few mins after that a lioness was seen walking towards us. She was alone and no cubs with her. She came over and sat in the road for a while. In the mean time on the other side of the road we heard some commotion. It was another lioness with very small cubs which were barely seen through the grass. The first lion then got up and hugged the second lioness and wanted to help to cross the road. We tried to give as much space as possible. But the cubs still got worried by the presence of us and some other cars and never came out. But I was happy to be able to capture this image and see the tiny tots.
