The New Testament Greek word for βanointβ is chrio, which means βto smear or rub with oilβ and, by implication, βto consecrate for office or religious serviceβ; and aleipho, which means βto anoint.β In Bible times, people were anointed with oil to signify Godβs blessing or call on that personβs life (Exodus 29:7).
A person was anointed for a special purposeβto be a king, to be a Prophet, including healing and restoration purposes (Acts 10:36-38), to set people free (Isaiah 10:27), to even impart wisdom upon a person's life (1 John 2:27).
All these happen when there is an act of anointing by an ordained Man of God, and this Sunday Service The Lord Jesus Christ is changing your story through a Prophetic instruction of anointing.
