This year, the Wacken Metal Battle Sub-Saharan Africa saw over 40 bands competing across the African continent for one lucky slot at the Wacken Open Air Holy Grounds.

2024 winners from South Africa Sunken State took the win at the finals and travelled to Germany to try impress the WMB jury where they placed 7th out of 30 other competing countries 🇿🇦🔥
