As a professional fishing coach and guide, Mark has honed his skills over the years, earning accolades such as the Ex England Fishing International Trout Master Champion. His expertise doesn’t stop there—he is also a full-time predator controller and deer stalker, showcasing his deep understanding of the great outdoors.

In addition to his impressive qualifications in fishing and hunting, Mark leads thrilling ibex, Barbary, and wild boar trips abroad, offering unique experiences for enthusiasts. His passion for photography further complements his skills, allowing him to capture the beauty of nature in every shot. Mark also shares his knowledge and insights by writing for various fishing and shooting magazines, making him a respected voice in the field.

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Supa Quick Tzaneen , and we must say, it was an impressive experience! Jp Pretorius went above and beyond to assist Johan Smit with some much-needed upgrades to our HTP Truck.

Johan had been looking to raise the front part of the truck, and JP expertly installed 1” spacers, effectively lifting the truck by 2”. This adjustment is sure to enhance both performance and driving comfort.

In addition to the lift, JP and his team replaced the old shocks with new heavy-duty ones, ensuring a smoother ride and improved handling on the road. We also took this opportunity to change the brake pads, which were due for an upgrade, ensuring that safety remains a top priority.

To top it all off, they replaced the exhaust pipe with a more efficient model, which will not only improve performance but also contribute to better fuel economy.

A huge thank you to JP for his dedication and expertise! Your help has made a significant difference for Johan and our HTP Truck today. We truly appreciate the outstanding service at Supa Quick Tzaneen!

We recently took a step to enhance our wildlife watching experience by installing an American Hunter Collapsible Self Feeder which we received from Magnum Archery. We loaded it up with our own special mix of game pellets and corn, and we can’t wait to see what kind of wildlife it attracts!

To complement the feeder, we also set up an Agri Solsec 4G Trail Camera. This nifty gadget sends us pictures and videos immediately upon detecting motion, which means we can keep an eye on the action without being there in person.

In less than a day, we’ve already started to see activity around the feeder! It’s thrilling to know that our setup is working and that we’re on the verge of spotting some amazing wildlife. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to monitor what comes to visit!

We recently embarked on an unforgettable adventure in the USA 🇺🇸, tackling the growing problem of feral hogs. These invasive creatures are not just a nuisance; they wreak havoc on crops, prey on small deer, and even destroy turkey nests, threatening local ecosystems and farmers alike.

Our hunt was guided by the experienced duo, Jim Cabaniss and Sam Wilbanks, who led us into the wild to face these formidable foes. Armed with thermals and night vision gear, we stealthily tracked the hogs, ensuring we stayed undetected under the cover of darkness.

The excitement peaked when Johan Smit took his shot. He lined up a perfect shot from just 30 yards away, taking down a hefty boar. The thrill of the hunt was palpable as we celebrated Johan’s success and moved on to spot more game.

Not long after, we spotted another massive boar in the distance. Beulah Smit ready and focused, took aim from 150 yards away. With a steady hand and sharp eye, she made her shot count, perfectly hitting her target. The exhilaration of both hunts filled the air as we marveled at the skills and teamwork that brought us success.

This trip not only allowed us to engage in an exciting hunt but also highlighted the importance of managing the hog population in the USA 🇺🇸. We came away with great memories and a deeper appreciation for the balance of nature and the role we play in it. Until next time!

Hunting in the USA is not just a pastime; it's a vital part of wildlife management, especially when it comes to controlling populations of problematic species like raccoons. Known affectionately as "trash pandas," these clever creatures have earned their nickname for their knack for rummaging through garbage and stealing food. However, the impact of raccoons goes beyond just being a nuisance; they pose a significant threat to native wildlife, particularly the eggs of turkeys.

Raccoons are notorious for raiding turkey nests, which can drastically affect local turkey populations and disrupt the ecosystem. As a hunter, addressing this issue is not only about the thrill of the chase but also about contributing to wildlife conservation. Recently, Johan Smit had the opportunity to join a raccoon hunt, and he was thrilled to take part. The hunt was not only exciting but also essential for helping to protect the local turkey population.

Our recent hunting trip to the USA was nothing short of unforgettable! On the last day of Shotgun Season for Turkey, we had an exhilarating experience that will be etched in our memories.

Johan Smit had the incredible fortune to harvest a stunning tom turkey. The anticipation built up as we spent the day in the woods, listening to the sounds of nature and waiting for the perfect moment. Patience is key in hunting, and Johan exemplified that beautifully.

When the moment finally arrived, and the magnificent bird stepped into view, Johan was ready. He took a deep breath, focused on his target, and lined up his shot with precision. The thrill of the hunt culminated in a successful harvest, and the joy on Johan's face was priceless!

Only when we got closer we found how special this turkey was. He had 3 beards. Main beard was 11”, 2nd beard was 9”, and the 3rd beard was 7”. What an amazing specimen!!!

One of the highlights of the trip was when Lance Stover had the incredible fortune of spotting and successfully hunting a beautiful Ring-tailed cat (Bassariscus astutus). This remarkable mammal, part of the raccoon family, is native to the arid regions of North America, and its elusive nature makes it a rare find for hunters.

As we made our way back to camp, Lance's keen eye and quick reflexes paid off. The Ring-tailed cat, with its distinctive markings and graceful movements, stood out against the rugged terrain. After a successful shot, we gathered around to appreciate the beauty of this creature, a true testament to the rich biodiversity found in the area.

On the second-to-last afternoon, Tommy Bryant decided to head to a tower blind that had been fruitful for some of the other hunters. The anticipation was high as the sun began to lower in the sky. Around 4:00 PM, everything changed when a stunning Axis deer buck appeared, gracefully making its way closer to Tommy's position.

With his heart racing, Tommy ranged the deer and found it standing at 150 yards—a perfect opportunity. Calm and focused, he readied his trusted .308 rifle, knowing that this was the moment he had been waiting for. With a steady breath, he took his shot, and the Axis deer fell in its tracks.

The thrill of the hunt and the camaraderie we shared made this trip unforgettable. Tommy's successful shot was the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. We can't wait for our next adventure together! 🦌🏹

The following morning, Trey Wiseman made his way to a tower blind before dawn, eager to embrace the stillness of the early hours. As the first light began to illuminate the ridges, he spotted a herd of Axis deer moving gracefully through the landscape. Excitement surged through him as he focused on the buck that caught his interest.

With his trusty .270 Tikka Rifle in hand, Trey steadied himself, taking a deep breath before taking the shot. The moment was tense but exhilarating. The buck bolted, but after a short chase, it expired just a few yards from where it had been shot.

This hunt was a true testament to patience, skill, and the thrill of the chase. Trey's successful harvest added an unforgettable highlight to our trip, reminding us of the beauty and excitement of hunting in Texas. Here's to many more adventures in the great outdoors!

Our recent hunting trip in Juno, Texas, was nothing short of exhilarating! The following morning, Lance Stover accompanied by our expert guide from Christian Outdoors Alliance, Josh Bowers, set out on a mission to find some magnificent Axis deer.

It didn’t take long for them to spot a herd of Axis bucks grazing on an opposite hill. With adrenaline pumping, Lance and Josh quickly devised a plan to stalk closer to the majestic animals. As they crept through the terrain, anticipation built with each careful step.

Finally, the moment arrived. One stunning Axis buck presented a shot, and without hesitation, Lance took aim. His shot rang true, and the beautiful buck dropped in its tracks.

Upon reaching the fallen deer, Lance was struck by how special this particular Axis buck was—it was still in velvet, showcasing its incredible antlers in a way that added to the thrill of the hunt. This encounter was not just about the chase, but also about appreciating the beauty of nature and the unique experience that comes with hunting.

Just before the last light faded, luck was on our side. Dennis Stover, with his keen eye and steady hand, spotted a stunning Blackbuck ram. The moment was electric. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and once he felt comfortable, he squeezed the trigger of his trusty .300 WIN Mag rifle.

In an instant, the Blackbuck fell in its tracks, a testament to Dennis's skill and patience. It's moments like these that make hunting so exhilarating and memorable. We left the field that evening with stories to share and memories to cherish. Can't wait for our next adventure!
