Complainant was at her residence at New Ermelo with her sister. Three unknown males kicked open the door and entered. Teo remained at the door while the third male threatened the suspect and her sister with a panga. He snatched the complainant's cell phone from her hand. The males then left the house.

A case of house robbery was reported this morning, 28 June 2022. The complainant, a 63-year-old woman, was was at her workplace in Jansen Street. She was cleaning the bathroom, when two males entered the house. They punched and strangled her, then locked her inside the bathroom.

The suspects fled the scene with a television, camera and a brown and cream duvet. The victim screamed for help, and a neighbour assisted her to get out of the bathroom.

Crime:
House robbery
2022-05-20 around 19:30 a male was in his room, Extention 5, Wesselton. He heard a bang at the door. A group of males entered. They were armed with knives demanding his property. The suspects took a cell phone, laptop and speakers to the value of R8 500. During the incident the victim was stabbed with a knife.

On 2022-05-20 around 20:00 a 25-year-old lady was at her home in Extention 1 Wesselton with her boyfriend. 2 Suspects forced open the door and entered the house. The suspects were armed with pangas. They assaulted the victim and her boyfriend. The boyfriend left. One suspect r***d the victim and left around 05:00 the following morning.
House robbery:
On 2022-05-21 around 02:30 the victim was in her house with her mother at Extention 1 shacks. A male entered and threatened them with a knife and demanded cash. He took cash and a cell phone.
Dealing in drugs:
On 2022-05-21 around 10:30 a 25-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs in Oosthuise street. The SAPS received information with regard to this person selling drugs. He was searched and Nyaope was found in his possession.
Dealing in Drugs:
On 2022-05-21 around 10:30 a 40-year-old suspect was arrested with drugs in his possession in Manzini street.

Business robbery:
Around 08:45 on 2022-05-11 two suspects entered the Ackermans store at the Boxer Complex pointing an staff member with fi****ms. The suspects ordered all the staff as well as a customer to enter an office. The suspects took the cell phones of the staff and customer. The one staff member was ordered to open the safe in the office. The suspects took cash from the safe. The staff member was also ordered to open a second safe. Whilst busy opening the safe a employee from a courier company entered the store to make a delivery. The suspects fled the scene with one cell phone and cash.

Serious crime reported in Ermelo over the past weekend:
Business robbery
On 29 April an employee at Social Entertainment Lounge, Church street was closing busineß fot the day around 23:15. She was busy cleaning the floor when two males entered the business. They were wearing masks and the one was armed with a firearm. One suspect pushed her and she fell, the other suspect took cash from the cash box and then they fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

House robbery
A lady was asleep in her house at Kwamahlafuna farm on the 30th of April around 21:00. She woke from banging noises at the door and window. Two suspects, armed with a panga and a knife entered the house. They threatened the lady. They took valuable items and cash to the value of R 7 000-00 and fled.

Murder
On the 30th of April Ermelo SAPS members were informed of a murder case. According to information the deceased (a 21-year-old male) and suspect (a 21-year-old male) were attending a party at Drinkwater farm. A fight started during which the suspect stabbed the deceased. The deceased was taken to hospital with a private vehicle but died on the way. The suspect was arrested and will appear in Ermelo Magistrates court, facing a charge of murder, on Wednesday the 4th of May.

Murder:
On the 1st of May, Ermelo SAPS members were informed by staff at the Provincial hospital of the death of a 15- year-old boy. According to information the incident which lead to the boy's death happenrd in Oosthuise street. Two opposing groups of boys met and fought when the deceased was stabbed. Two suspects, both aged 16-years old were arrested and will appear in Ermelo Magistrates court on Thursday the 4th of May, facing a charge of murder.
