Dear Friends

I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your thoughtful and compassionate condolence messages extended to me and my family following the passing of my beloved brother, Hans van Rensburg, on January 9th of this year. On this day, January 16th, which also marks the birthday of my younger brother Paul van Rensburg (happy birthday, dear brother) who is still among us, I have made a significant and much-needed decision. I intend to reduce the time I spend on social media in order to devote more attention to my relationship with God and quality time with my family. Life is too brief to be consumed by worldly distractions instead of focusing on what truly holds significance. I deeply value and appreciate the cherished friendship we share here. I shall offer prayers on behalf of all present. May the year 2025 serve as a Jubilee for all.

We purchased Silverside cold meat from a Chekkers in Athlone Park, Amanzimtoti, and after consuming it, two of our children and I became seriously ill. We are aware of the symptoms of listeriosis and need to visit a doctor for antibiotics.

WHAT IS LISTERIOSIS
Listeriosis is a foodborne illness caused by the bacteria L. monocytogenes. Symptoms include fever, chills, and headache. Pregnant people and people with weakened immune systems are at the greatest risk of a severe infection. Treatment may include antibiotics.
