This October, we're going back to the pages of 90's car magazines to bring you a feature on an iconic South African vehicle.
The Opel Monza CD 16 valve.

Durban Petrolhead and avid Opel fan Verona Singh-Arumogam sat down with us to share the details about her pristine CD16V.

Revered for its naturally aspirated 2L 16 valve powerplant, Verona still enjoys booting that clutch every chance she gets.

It's a car built in the early 90's but looks and rides like it came out of the factory floor last year.

You do not want to miss this feature!

There are very few, if not just a couple FWD cars in KZN capable of driving to Dezzi, running a 10 second pass and driving back home.

Donny's EG Hatch runs a best time of 10.7 second with a racing slick and full interior.

He still uses it to buy groceries.

Dom decided to take the drivetrain from a Honda Orthia 4-wheel drive SUV for his Civic.

What supposed to be a "bolt-on" conversion ended up taking a good few years to perfect.

But they've now managed to get this K-series to sing like Adele in 21. 7 second pass on the horizon.

Ring leader of the 011 Street Society JP Morreira has always loved Honda.

As soon as he found a way to rear mount them, he was off to the races with his K-swapped KE70 Corolla.

Both Chemi Race Team drag cars currently running boosted K-swaps.

List update

I think it's safe to say our 6 Cylinder FWD list is heating up like last night's chutney.

A massive shout out to the Cape Town boys Washief Sage and Riyaad Cooper for adding some Kaap Stad flair to our list.

Sage jumped to 3rd spot with his 10.9 at the weekend.

Riyaad breaks into the list with his 11.8 pass.

In a surprising turn of events, Mr ERF, Lance Pillay, was infected with the R32 virus and is now hunting a top spot in the list.

Pillay also drives a 4 Cylinder FWD turbo Golf which features on the Quickest in the Land list.

Farhad Ali posted a new personal best of 11.03 at Killarney during Bragging Rights and affirms his 5th spot.
