A massive shout out to Cape Town Drag racer Jode Cupido who just moved to the top of the ever changing VVL pyramid.

Jode ran a new personal best of 10.7 @205.5 km/h at the Street Fest event at Killarney on Saturday.

This is a naturally aspirated SR20 VVL set up.

Congratulations Mr Cupido!

This has to be one of the most competitive classes for Drag racing in the country, Right?

KwaZulu-Natal biker Sthembiso Mthembu will make his second trip across Africa this December.

The Durban Nite Riderz member will leave Durban for West Africa on Wednesday morning and return around January 18.

A BMW R1250 adventure bike is his travel buddy for the open road.

Sthe will be visiting the likes of Gabon, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria to name a few.

Goodluck and Godspeed on your travels Mr Mthembu. This is what touring bikes were made for.

Scores of families made their way to the newly renovated Dezzi Raceway this weekend to catch a glimpse of their favourite motorsport.

Congratulations to the Race Art team on hosting a fun-filled family-friendly day for all to enjoy. An even bigger congratulations to Harry and his team for breathing new life into Dezzi.

Vivek's naturally aspirated SR20VE with a set of N1 cams ran a 12.2s quarter mile /h.

It's still an unopened unit with loads of potential.

Baboon VVL ran 12.2 seconds /h with a 1.6 60 foot. Now, for those that do not understand the nuances of the drag racing, this is extremely impressive. Especially given the meagre list of modifications.

Mkuze Airfield - Sunday, December 8

It was an absolute scorcher at Mkuze airfield this weekend, with temps soaring to the high 30's.

Nevertheless, die hard dragsters still made their way to northern KZN for KZN Motor Racing's final installment of 2024.

Some real gems were in attendance, like Logan Moodley's Porsche 911 GT2 RS, a 16v Golf 1 with the R-line kit that looked sick!

Baboon VVL from Chatsworth ran a 12.2 second quarter mile on a stock ECU, warranting celebrations from the team.
