🚫 I'M DONE EXPLAINING MYSELF. ✋🏻

It took me too long to understand that no matter how much I explain my side, some people will twist it to fit their narrative. I used to pour my heart out, desperately hoping they’d see the truth, but I’ve learned the hard way—if someone truly wanted to understand, they wouldn’t make me beg for it.

If you’ve already decided I’m the villain in your story, fine. I’m not going to keep bending over backwards trying to prove I’m good enough, worthy enough, or innocent enough. The truth is, the more I explain, the more power I give to someone who doesn’t want to hear it.

Let them believe what they want.
Let them say it was all my fault.
Let them stay stuck in their version of events.

LET. THEM.

I won’t defend myself anymore. Because I’ve realized something crucial—explaining myself over and over doesn’t bring peace. It only exhausts me. It only reinforces their narrative, because if they really cared to understand, they would’ve listened the first time.

I’m reclaiming my energy. I’m walking away from the endless loop of justification and debate. I deserve connections where I don’t have to fight for my truth to be seen.

If my silence makes you uncomfortable, then be uncomfortable.
If my choice not to explain feels like defeat to you, that’s on you.
I’m no longer concerned with trying to win a battle I never agreed to fight.

I’m done begging to be understood.

I’m done begging for kindness, respect, and empathy that should’ve been given freely.

I’m done putting myself on trial in a court that was never fair to begin with.

I'M. DONE.

The only explanation I owe is to myself: that I choose peace over their noise.

I choose to move on without the weight of constantly trying to be heard by people who are committed to misunderstanding me.

Let them think what they want.
LET. THEM. GO.

I will not explain myself again.
Because, honestly, I don’t need to.

I deserve happiness 😊

In South Africa, su***de awareness is a crucial issue due to high rates of mental health challenges and stigma surrounding mental health. Several organizations and initiatives focus on raising awareness and providing support. For example:

The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG): They offer support, counseling, and resources for those affected by mental health issues, including su***de prevention.

The Su***de Crisis Helpline: Provides immediate support to individuals in distress.

Mental Health Awareness Initiatives: These include community outreach programs, educational campaigns, and partnerships with healthcare professionals to promote mental health and reduce stigma.

If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out to these organizations can be a crucial step in getting support.

A narcissist is a person of many words initially. But never a person of their word. They will paint the future you've always dreamed of but deliver a nightmare you must recover from. That's not love.

In fact, it's the opposite of love. It's a cleverly crafted illusion, designed to lure you into their web of deceit and manipulation. They'll speak of forever, of always, of never letting you go - but their words are as empty as their soul.

They'll promise to be your rock, your safe haven, your forever home - but they'll prove to be a stormy sea, a raging fire, a devastating earthquake. They'll shatter your dreams, crush your heart, and leave you to pick up the pieces of your shattered life.

Their words are a poison, a venom that seeps into your veins, making you believe in a future that never existed. They're a master of make-believe, a weaver of false hopes, a siren luring you to the rocky shores of heartbreak.

But still, we believe. We want to believe. We need to believe. Because the alternative is too terrifying to contemplate - that we've been duped, deceived, and manipulated by a person who never intended to keep their promises.

So we cling to the words, even as the actions betray them. We cling to the hope, even as the reality destroys it. We cling to the love, even as it turns to dust in our hands.

But eventually, we must face the truth. The narcissist's words are lies, their promises empty, their love a myth. And we must walk away, no matter how hard it is, no matter how much it hurts. Because in the end, that's the only way to find true love - by letting go of the false.
