At PACISA our aim is to create opportunities for artists in South Africa. We come across so many talented artists that do not have the support to enable them to develop with the necessary investments they need.
During the Regionals, 9 young performers from the Mbombela area entered PACISA. They were so talented but we could see that they are not used to performing with backtracks or a microphone.
We decided to collaborate with the Artreach project from Penreach and hosted a workshop on 14 and 15 August where PACISA gave them individual vocal training, including microphone technique and provided them with all their backtracks.
We were able to supply them with PA system and a cordless microphone. It was the first time that most of them ever used a microphone and was so excited to hear their voices over a PA system. They will now be able to use the PA system to practice every week in preparation for our National Round.
