I had the awesome privilege to engage with Lance Stehr CEO of Ghetto Ruff Productions Studio & Muthaland Entertainment at Music Exchange about way back in the days of him managing Prophets of Da City, then putting together , remember ?, the evolution of the , as well as the future, in particularly the exciting new superstar AV Raincandy who he manages and who I had a quick chat with during one of the breaks, and then I forgot to ask her for a photo🤦🏽‍♂️

There were a number of highlights and I had a fantastic time collaborating with DJ realROZZANO of Agapanthus Street Media to handle the audio and spin some background music at the Launch of Guardians of Seed, Land And Life by the South African Rural Women's Assembly & TCOE - Trust for Community Outreach and Education at the Castle of Good Hope on 8 November 2024.

Inspite of our battle with gale force winds we were blessed with moving performances by the Cape Cultural Collective's Rosa Choir, Anela Jahmena, and, a personal favourite of mine, Ernestine Deane.
Ernestine's singing and story-telling has this way of mesmerisingly connecting me to our ancestors and our ancestral land.

Another highlight was witnessing the crowd erupt into a frenzied session of singing and dancing.

The entertainment was top tier but the most important aspect of the event was the powerful voices of rural women sharing their stories as Seed Guardians, each story a testament to their resilience, wisdom, and leadership in protecting seeds, land, and life. 🌱💚
