The CuppaChino Club Social TV show focuses on conversations that inspire change. Right now with COVID19 the show focuses on how entrepreneurs and businesses can pivot with purpose and are dealing with the unintended consequences of the pandemic. The CuppaChino Club was started over ten years ago by the shows co-host Viola Manuel. Viola is an accomplished senior executive. She started the CuppaChino Club very informally as a means for women to connect with each other and to help others succeed in business.
Viola was CEO of the Cape Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Executive Director of The Cape IT Initiative, a Member of the Western Cape Premier’s Council of Skills, to mention a few. Currently she serves as a non-executive at National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), and is the Deputy Chair of the Cape Town Stadium.
All BLive Media Shows are anchored and produced by Bridgetti Lim Banda. We multicast to a number of social media channels simultaneously (LinkedIn Live, YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitter/Periscope). Our video streams are LIVE and we provide guidelines so that our guests could have the best possible online experience. Key to having a successful broadcast of course is a strong internet signal. We also guide our guests so that they look professional on screen.
BROADCAST REQUIREMENTS for our Guests:
1. A quiet environment with adequate lighting.
2. A strong internet connection. A minimum UPLOAD speed of NO LESS than 2Mbps and guests must ensure no one else is using the internet at the same time as the broadcast especially if the available upload speed is the minimum.
3. A front facing camera/webcam. An external microphone is preferred for the best sound experience but a good headset works too. Always double check that the microphone works.
4. Earphones to avoid sound feedback. This is not optional as it ensures we have a good broadcast.
5. A technical check will be done before the broadcast. It’s important to us that guests look their best on Camera and we wish to avoid any technical issues on the day of the broadcast.
6. A laptop or desktop is preferable for the best possible experience, but in an emergency a smart phone will work. Phones must be positioned and locked in landscape mode.
7. For smartphone use in an interview a tripod or phone stand is required to ensure picture stability. Guests must NOT attempt to hold the phone in their hand for an interview.
8. Prior to the broadcast guests will be sent a link either via WhatsApp, FB Messenger and/or Email and simply need to click on the link to join the broadcast. It will allow guests access to the green room (waiting area) where we will talk offline prior to the show. After the show, remain in the studio even if you are taken off screen.
