EXCITING NEWS!

Night Flight Films is very excited to announce our open call for auditions for several exciting productions to be filmed in 2025/2026. We are happy to invite children, teenagers and young adults from across South Africa, in the following categories, to audition:

CATEGORY 1: Children between the ages of 5-8
CATEGORY 2: Young teens between the ages of 9-12
CATEGORY 3: Teens between the ages of 13-16
CATEGORY 4: Young adults between the ages of 17-21

Every person who wants to audition must submit 2 separate videos:

VIDEO 1: Audition scene (attached) for your age group. (You can decide if you want to do it in Afrikaans OR in English. )
VIDEO 2*: Tell us about the most exciting OR saddest thing that has ever happened to you and how it made you feel (2-4 min). You can record this video in ANY LANGUAGE you are most comfortable speaking.

*It is very important that Video 2 should be spontaneous. So try not to prepare too much, we want to see a natural impact on your telling of your most exciting/saddest memory.

Important information to remember when filming the video:
1. Cell phone videos are more than enough.
2. Make sure it is landscape and/or horizontal (so turn your cell phone flat).
3. Trying to sit/stand against a neutral background.
4. The shot must be a medium shot (head to hip; so no lower body visible).
5. You have to be in the video ALONE. The person reading to you with Video 1 must NOT be in the lap. They can be heard.
