Clamshell case or otherwise known as a Solander box is a book form case used to hold and store prints, documents and precious books… in this case these were commissioned by the wonderful in collaboration with to hold a set of beautiful woodblock prints by . These were labour intensive and a joy to create ! I truly love bookbinding and I don’t often get to make these forms 🙌 looking at these I feel proud that my hands are capable to do what they do ❤️

Who would be interested in doing bookbinding courses this spring? If you’d be interested please send me an email so I can get an idea of how many would like to book 📚
To get a chance to cultivate a book making community would be such an amazing opportunity!

Here’s some wonderful riso print tests we did for & for his publication Wild Natural Setting. Although we never used riso for the printing - they still really bring me joy looking back! And loved how they translated Johno’s eerie photos!

THIS IS THE DREAM TEAM 💫

Are we perfect? HELL NO!
Do we try our best to create magic with others with as much integrity, love and care? YES!
Do we get it right every time? NO!
Yet we pick ourselves up - support each other - and try again!!!

2022 was tough on a lot of different levels but it was also a freaken GREAT year!!

We are starting 2023 with as much positivity, fierce passion and hopefully hard taught lessons and skills that have equipped us for this year ahead!

Here’s to more printed matter and books, collaborations and workshops and growing our budding community together!

PS. This team 💫 is like family to me - these two INCREDIBLE beautiful humans are strong and sensitive and we make a damn good band of misfits 🖤✨🙏

‘Switchback’ by is a 5 colour risograph - limited to 25 editions!

Adele came to work in our studio on hand drawing each colour layer with ink & marker to make monochromatic
versions of Yellow / Red / Aqua / Teal & Black. We when scanned in the individual layers and
printed them on the Riso! The key layer was the black line work - The results are so cool!
We love it when artists go to extra lengths to truly understand the many ways in creating work for
risograph printing…

A Map Home, led by artist, researcher & architect @khotsolamola will be presenting tomorrow at @missreadberlin this incredibly beautiful and inspiring project — Co-published by @dream_press_sa and designed in collaboration with the my dear friend @maccmckay ✨ including collaborators @she_done_already_undone and Sandrine Mpazayabo An interdisciplinary project aiming to address distortions in personal and public histories, particularly focusing on Sara Baartman, a symbol of colonial anthropology’s impact. Through research and artistic exploration, it seeks recovery and restitution for those misrepresented in archives. Baartman’s story embodies the Black femme identity complexities and trauma of colonial gaze. This endeavour aims to create figurative ‘maps home’ for Baartman and others lost in dehumanising archival narratives, offering tangible and intangible pathways towards recovery and rest.
