Cilect Congress Cape Town 2012

Over 200 delegates from the top film schools of the world will be attending. The congress will deal with education in film, with a particular focus on sharing and collaboration – hence the congress title and theme; "Ubuntu Film Education". The executive director also inspected the Cape Sun hotel and the conference facilities and declared the hotel an excellent choice as its location downtown and its proximity to Table Mountain and various other tourist gems in Cape Town will make it ideal for CILECT delegates to enjoy a great CILECT experience. This is the first time in the 60 year history of CILECT that the congress will be held in Africa. The host school AFDA Cape Town is currently finalizing the program, registration of delegates, organizing of events and the multitude of tasks that need to be completed in order for the congress to be successful. AFDA looks forward to creating a Congress environment that facilitates sharing and rigorous discourse on collaborative learning and assessment practice.
