I basically grew up next to a rugby field as my dad was very involved at club, provincial and international levels. I started taking photos with my cell phone for the Hamilton SP RFC social media pages, until an experienced photographer came over to me and said: "You have the eye for sports photography, get yourself a decent camera, my girl." I have been taking rugby action photos for three years
now, often up to six games on a given Saturday - but I love every minute of it. During my time voluteering on a game sanctuary in Namibia, I got some beautiful shots of the animals, but I still have not really dedicated time to exploring this. I love capturing those impromtu moments - catching someone laughing when they don't know the camera is on them, that special cuddle with a little one when nobody is looking. I think that is why I enjoy sports photography so much - it is unpredictable. I enjoy taking sport photos, small casual events, kiddies birthday parties, family photos, matric dance before photos and pet photos. I have been working in the digital learning design space since 2006. I have always had a love for design, and studied Art at school and at college, but digital design did not really exist when I left school. When designing digital learning material, I had to think visually, and start putting the screen composition together. I loved this and slowly started playing around with my own designs. I then evolved into a social media content creator and platform manager, designing content for a variety of uses, including logos, product and services adverts, announcements, birthday notices, save the dates, invitations, event announcements, motivational content, newsletters, special day content, etc.
