Can We Handle The Splitsheets Shandis Real Quick.
Yo A Song Is Made Up Of 100% Share.
50% Goes To The Beatmaker, The Other 50% Goes To The Artists. If The Song Features 20 Artists Then It Means Each Artist Will Have 2.5% Share & The Beatmaker Will Handle 50%.
If The Owner Of The Track Is A Dj Such As Dj Zan D Or Dj Malefactor, Tyler ICU, Kabza & So On. The Main Artist Gets The Higher Percentage If The Sharable Percentage Has An Odd Number. Normally If Dj Malefactor Is Featuring Emtee & Thato Saul Which Is Coming Soon. Dj Malefactor Gets 25% Then Featured Artists Gets 12.5 Then Dj Malefactor Gets The Other 50% Because He Happens To Be A Beatmater Too. But It Can Be Negotiated Due To The Point That Dj Malefactor Owns Half Of The Track Already So In Good Faith Dj Malefactor Would Give Out 20% To Each Artist Then Only For Him To Own 10% As A Main Artist But If He Never Produced The Beat Then The Percents Arent Negotiable.

Now Lets Talk About Sales. If Emtee & Thato Saul Charged Dj Malefactor A Verse Fee It Means They Wont Be Getting Anything From The Sales Coz They Took An Advance Even If Dj Malefactor Gets A Trillion Rands From The Sales, But If The Verses Were Free Dj Malefactor Will Negotiate The Sales Percentage By Pointing Out How Much Money He Is Going To Be Using To Market The Song From Spotify Playlists, Payola Plugs, Music Video Shoots & Track Promo Packages. So They Can End Up Getting 1% Of The Sales Close To Zero Percents If They Themselves Dont Spend A Dime Pushing The Song Only To Prove Otherwise When They Submit Reciepts To Show They Helped.

Which Is Another Reason Why We Hear Smaller Artists Crying They Were Never Paid, Its Because The Main Artist Invested Thousands Pushing The Song & He Gotta Recoup All The Monies He Invested To Make The Track To What It Currently Is.

Important Notice: Both Parties Must Sign The Splitsheets & Both Register their Work With A PRO (BMI, Ascap, Samro) For The PRO To Payout The Royalties. If 1 Is Not Registered Then None Will Be Getting Paid For It. Thats For The Featured Artists But As A Beatmaker You'll Get Your Royalty Simply Because Your 50% Cant Be Negotiated You Always Own 50% Royalties For The Song.

When You All Register The Song All Of You Must Exchange Real Government Names Otherwise Yall Wont Get Paid For The Track If All Relevant Track Info Is Missing.

If The Main Artist Never Registered Their Song Thats On Its Platinum or Diamond Status The Beatmaker Must Register The Track With A PRO Then Credit The Original Performing Artist To Claim His 50% Share. Also There Is No Need To Register Beats & Their Titles With A PRO If You Are Not Gonna Upload Your Beats As A Beattape. Registering A Beat Titled "Neighbourhood" Only For The Artist To Make A Track & Calls It "Experts" Means You Wasted Your Time Registering Your Beat. So You Should Only Register Your Beats Only When The Track Is About To Drop Or After It Dropped. Stop Wasting Samro's Time or Your Time You Should Be Using To Make Other Fire Beats.
