OFFICE OF THE PREMIER in the FREE-STATE and DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCED THE PROVINCE MATRIC RESULTS FOR 2024

The top ten learners in the province were also in attendance at the media briefing that was held yesterday at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein on the 14th of January 2025.

Premier of the Free-State, MaQueen Letsoha Mathae, MEC of Eduaction, Dr MJ Maboya, MEC of COGTA, Saki Mokoena, Head of Department of Education, Adv. T Malakoane updated the media on the performances of the class of 2024 in which the province secured a 91% pass rate and standing as the number one position in the country.

FS MATRIC RESULTS CLASS OF 2024

Free-State Premier, Ms MaQueen Letsoha Mathae and MEC for Education, Dr MJ Maboya hosted a technical briefing yesterday announcing the Free-States National Senior Certificate results for the class of 2024. This event was hosted on the 14th of January 2025 at Central University of Technology.

MINISTERIAL VISIT TO MELKRAAL FARM.

On the 3rd of January 2025 the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Mzwanele Nyhontso alongside the Premier of the Free-State, MaQueen Letsoha Mathae, met with emerging farmers from different regions, who raised their concerns of corruption and the challenges they face in the farming sector.

This meeting took place on Melkraal Farm on the outskirts of Odendaalsrus.

Minister Nyhontso and Premier MaQueen promised farmers that their concerns have been taken into consideration and an investigation will be made so that those implicated in foul play will be held accountable.

Dozens of illegal immigrants will spend Christmas in custody.

Foreigners were arrested this morning pertaining failure to produce travelling documents on the N1 at a road block.

The road block was led by Premier of the Free-State, MaQueen Letsoha Mathae accompanied by the MEC of Community Safety, Roads and Transport, Jabu Mbalula.

Two busses, a truck and a minibus were also impounded on scene.

[as received by SAPS] Help Botshabelo police locate 29-year-old Lebohang Mokatedi who went missing with his girlfriend Nthabiseng Mokonyana (19) from Botshabelo.

It is reported that the couple was last seen by their families on Thursday 12 December 2024, travelling in a gold coloured Nissan Micra with registration plates FYN 754 FS. Family members tried to contact the couple but with no success.

Anyone who might have information on the whereabouts of the two missing persons, is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Itumeleng Matla on 076 814 7002 or Lieutenant Colonel Robert Mokhobo 082 784 4505.
