The newly elected office has begun with its Outreach programmes as to engage with affiliated teams on what to expect in this new season, the Promotional League is set to commence on Saturday, 30 November 2024 across all four units within Dihlabeng Municipality jurisdiction.

Bethlehem has 14 registered teams (with two streams, A and B); Clarens Unit (5 teams); Fouriesburg Unit (10 teams); Rosendal Unit (4 teams) and Paul Roux Unit (1 team) with a total of 736 registered players. Unfortunately, the Paul Roux unit will not participate this season but however, the association is determined to rekindle their involvement in the future.

The office objectives include: ensuring the completion of all leagues (Junior, Women’s Football League including Promotional League); organizing grassroots festivals for boys and girls under the age of 10; promoting unity and harmony to advance football development in the region. The association, inspired by Nelson Mandela's belief in the transformative power of sports, aims to use football as a tool for unity, hope, and development among the youth in Dihlabeng. The new leadership looks forward to fulfilling this mission with dedication and working together" said DLFA Spokeperson, Maleshoane Mofokeng.

Junior Stars Ladies is promoted to Sasol League

On the 16th of November, Junior Stars Ladies from Bohlokong travelled to North High School in Kroonstad for Provincial playoffs.

On a journey to qualifying for the Provincial level, Junior Stars Ladies have been showing hunger as to prove that they have the vision to play in the first division of ladies football. Bethlehem ladies finished in position two in the 2022/ 2023 season before finally reaching position one and winning the stream in the recent played 2023/ 2024 campaign.

Junior Stars went on to win the Regional finals that was held in Bethlehem last month and scooping all the individual accoloades on the day, the win that day advantaged Junior Stars as Thabo Mofutsanyana representatives to play in the provincial playoffs.

Elizabeth De Koker Top 8 tournament was held before this Provincial playoffs, whereby we saw Spartans Ladies knocking out Junior Stars Ladies in a tournament that was held in Ladybrand.

Last weekend we saw the ladies competing in the provincial playoffs, winning the first game six (6) goals to (0) against Eleven Experience from Fezile Dabi before their last game against Napoli from Mangaung and winning the game by 2 goals to 0.

Junior Stars Ladies will play in the Sasol League from 2024/ 2025 season, which is a provincial league one step away from Hollywood's National Premir League.

Without Ms. Corlene van der Merwe, these education projects cannot continue as all the other members of the committee are working at there day jobs and they are not there every day like Ms. Corlene van der Merwe.

We are currently awaiting the NSPCA's response and feedback.NSPCA has until November 18, 2024 to respond as to whether the NSPCA is willing to consider this.

We are deeply grateful to NLC, The Commission of the National Lotteries for the extraordinary gift, "says Mr.Marius Dreyer, Chairman of the Bethlehem SPCA. This donation will enable us to make an even greater difference in the lives of the animals we care for."

The Bethlehem SPCA is dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals in our community. We work hard to rescue ,rehabilitate and rehome animals. With this donation, we will be able to strengthen our work and help even more animals.

It will have adverse consequences for people and animals if the Bethlehem SPCA do not receive this much needed donation."
