11 May 1981, Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley died aged 36. In July 1977, Marley was found to have a type of malignant melanoma under the nail of a toe, Marley's health deteriorated as the cancer had spread throughout his body. Marley had the 1981 single 'No Woman No Cry', plus over ten other UK Top 40 singles. In 1990, the 6th February was proclaimed a national holiday in Jamaica to commemorate his birth. The compilation album, Legend, released in 1984, is the best-selling reggae album ever with sales of more than 20 million copies. Time magazine chose Bob Marley & The Wailers' Exodus as the greatest album of the 20th century.

I have watched and listened to all the comments of my friends, family and broader community, they had different views but the dominant view amongst most of the men were the same “ don’t disrespect my wife because I will also hit you “

In life you should always be hundred percent in control of your reactions always, your emotions shouldn’t dictate how you react, be sure that you know the pros and cons of any reaction. I would never not in a million years have attacked Chris even if he insulted my partner at that event, I would only have attacked him if he was planning physical harm, let me tell you why ? I have learned, many years ago I would have done worse than Will but I have learned and grown. Let me tell you about Gizo.

Gizo owned taxis and became wildly successful, he was in the process of buying one of the biggest bus companies in Gauteng, he went with his wife to the petrol garage and he went inside the shop and found a guy arguing with his wife upon his return, he just heard the guy saying, go to hell, he immediately grab the guy by the throat and punched him in the face, the guy died from a seizure after being punched.

Gizo fought that case for years, it bankrupted him in legal fees, he was sentenced to 17 years. I found him in jail, his wife moved on and married another guy ( yes same wife ).

Gizo told us daily that he regrets his action and he wouldn’t have attacked that guy if he has to relive the situation. He became sick in jail and died because of a lack of proper medical care in jail. I remember how his mom struggled to come and identify his body because she was old and frail. We had to assist with funeral cost.

Will was lucky, He could have knocked out Chris stone cold or dead, this is no exaggeration, there are many stories of people dying after being punched.

Gents it’s just not worth it, don’t risk your life, freedom and reputation for something that can be sorted out using other avenues.

This was Will Smith biggest night of his life, this was his moment and he made anger ruin it, Venus and Serena was present to witness how the role of their father Richard was soiled by anger.

Actors cherish and worked their whole lives to achieve Oscars, he now run the risks of losing even that, tomorrow Jada might leave him and say that he has anger issues and all of us will have to agree with her because the whole world saw it. He is a role model and kids watch him and his moves, that is a difficult cross to bear but it is what it is.

This thing where we always think violence is the only way to sort out things is the reason why we lost Tupac & Biggie, Chris Rock can retaliate and we will have same situation on our hands.

Prison is hell, don’t risk it to satisfy your ego, it’s not easy to walk away from a fight but it’s the only smart thing to do, Will will be slapped around in jail, being macho has levels and he is entry level.

I hope this post helps even if it is one person to walk away from a fight, it’s just not worth it boss, there are many ways to prove your love and getting involved in a fight is one the dumbest of those many ways.

𝗔𝗠𝗛𝗔 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗘 (1916-1997)
Amha Selassie, the last emperor of Ethiopia, was proclaimed ruler of the state three times, first in 1960, then in 1975, and finally while in exile in 1989. Selassie was born Asfaw Wossen Tafari in the walled city of Harrar in August 1916 to Dejazmach Tafari Makonnen, then the governor of Harrar and future emperor of Ethiopia, and his wife Menen Asfaw. Amha Selassie became Crown Prince Asfaw Wossen of Ethiopia when his father was crowned emperor on November 2, 1930.
In December 1960, the Imperial Guard launched a coup and seized power in Ethiopia while the emperor was on a visit to Brazil. The coup leaders compelled the 44 year old crown prince to read a radio statement in which he accepted the crown in his father’s place and announced a government of reform. However, the regular army and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church refused to accept the new government, and the leader of the church, Patriarch Abune Baslios, issued an anathema against all those who cooperated with the coup leaders. Emperor Haile Selassie returned to Ethiopia and the army stormed the palace, where members of the government were being held prisoner by the Imperial Guards.
In 1973, Crown Prince Asfaw Wossen suffered a massive stroke and was evacuated to Switzerland for medical treatment. He was accompanied by his wife and daughters and was living abroad when the Derg, a committee of Ethiopian Army officers, deposed Emperor Haile Selassie on September 12, 1974. The crown prince returned to Addis Ababa, the capital, to lead the new government. His brief reign ended seven months later when he was deposed and exiled by the Derg after they abolished the Ethiopian monarchy in March 1975. He and his family fled the country and settled in London, UK.
In April 1989, Crown Prince Asfaw Wossen was again proclaimed “Emperor of Ethiopia” at his home in London by members of the exiled Ethiopian community. He took the throne name of Amha Selassie I. Amha Selassie died of longtime ailments in Virginia, in the United States, at age 80 on February 17, 1997. He had never completely recovered from the massive stroke he experienced in 1973. His body was flown back to Ethiopia and buried in the imperial family vaults.
